Chaperone Opportunities. Weld County 4-H Leaders who are at least 21 years old can be a chaperone to a wide variety of events. Some events may require leaders to fill out an application and do an interview to be a chaperone. You have an opportunity to make the travel, training, or camping experience of young people a positive, life-long memory.

Adult Chaperone Opportunities & Information The primary purpose of the States' 4-H International Exchange Programs (S4-H) chaperone is to support the exchange delegates while traveling abroad. Delegates' needs range from questions on preparing for travel, to host family issues, to medical emergencies while abroad.

Chaperoning can be abundantly rewarding. If you are a good chaperone, you will form lifelong bonds with the students and the other adults with whom you travel. You might not have much downtime, but you will help to shape the lives of so many teenagers, to be there and share in some of their once-in-a-lifetime experiences.
